Weight Is Not Fiber Content

A Practical Buying Sequence

Begin with the movement you want, then ask about fabric composition, lining, and construction. If weight or weave is not listed, request it—but treat a GSM or fiber percentage as one clue, not a final verdict. Video, close photographs of folds, and a clear description of lining often answer the practical question more directly.

The useful question is not whether heavier or lighter fabric is superior. It is whether the complete garment provides the movement, coverage, airflow, and seasonal flexibility your intended setting requires.
